Mahalo Nui Loa!
Hawaii is a special place. Those that have been there or lived there know that but for those who don’t know what I’m talking about, this was my 4th trip to Oahu but the first time I’m leaving feeling inspired, motivated and up to my neck in the spirit of Aloha. The only other city that has made me feel remotely close to this was New York City which, if you’re a city lover, history buff, architecture nerd and culture hound that has made their way to the big Apple you know what I mean.
As I mentioned, this was my 4th time to Oahu. I’d done the “stuff” before but something about this time was just flat out different. We got to visit some awe-inspiring coffee operations at Honolulu Coffee, see some incredible sites, and just bask in the Aloha. While we were there, we made it a point to put a bow on something we’ve been working on for some months now and that’s a nano coffee farm operation. I’m going to be honest, much like when we got into roasting and operating a shop, we really are just going for it. I’ve never farmed a day in my life and we have zero plans of living in Hawaii full time, but this little piece of paradise we purchased just south of Kona on the big island could be something special with the right time, attention, dedication and fortitude.
A coffee farm and camping experience? Doesn’t that sound cool? Farm-to-cup, with the expertise of university level coffee agriculture specialists and YOU involved? Much like we did a couple years ago dreaming up Campfire Coffee, we’re just dreaming of the ideas and the impact.
You guys, we’re just going for it because, why not? It may not even work out but if that’s the case, at least we tried and we have a cool place to visit. For now, we’re trying to share some aloha with all of you by making our entire online store 20% off this week. Head on over to welovecampfire.com/shop and get right.
love you guys
