Washington Wildlife & Recreation Coalition - or WWRC for short - bills itself as our state’s Chief Advocate for local conservation and recreation around the state and we couldn’t agree more. Their work may not be known to everyone but just by virtue of living in the state of Washington, there’s a good chance we’ve all benefited from their efforts over the last 30 years. The stats are impressive:
WWRC has secured funding for over 1600 projects including 483 local parks.
To date, that funding has preserved 322,000+ acres of land for wildlife and recreation
And amongst other things (such as leveraging $1.8B in funding for conservation projects), they support and advocate for diversity in the outdoors."
At Campfire, as many of you reading this may know, we’re all about the outdoors. It goes far beyond being an “outdoor themed” coffee roaster and shop. Our mission is rooted in the outdoors, the recreation, the stewardship and making the spaces more accessible. We want nothing more than to be the people you can count on to give you great sustainable coffee and support for the outdoors. We hope that as the season of giving kicks off and continues into the new year that you consider supporting the good folks at WWRC by grabbing a bag of beans. Half the proceeds go directly to their organization.
Connect Outdoors Roast is a blend of S. American and African arabica coffees, roasted to medium/dark. Enjoy it as a pour over, drip or press and if we’re being completely honest, it lends itself to a really good balanced cup of espresso.
